Aquatics
City pools are free and open to Memphis residents.
To access a City of Memphis pool, you will first need to click here to create your Memphis Parks membership profile. After you have completed your profile, you will then go to one of one of our community centers to have your membership card printed. You will need a membership card to utilize all Memphis Parks pools and facilities.
Indoor Pools

Swim Lessons
Swim lessons are offered at the locations listed below.
Youth swim lessons are available for ages 5–17 and cost $25 per session.
Adult swim lessons are available for ages 18 and older and cost $48 per session.
Each session consists of ten 45-minute swim lessons.

Additional swim lesson sessions may be added at Orange Mound based on demand.

- 5:30 PM – 6:15 PM (Youth and Adult classes offered simultaneously but taught separately)
- 6:30 PM – 7:15 PM (Youth and Adult classes offered simultaneously but taught separately)
All swim lessons are available for registration through RecDesk. Registration through RecDesk is strongly encouraged, and all swim lesson fees must be paid online through RecDesk. Aquatic centers do not accept money orders or cashier’s checks for swim lesson payments.
Water Aerobics
Water aerobics is currently offered at Hickory Hill Pool, please contact 901-636-0781 for more information.

Interested in becoming a lifeguard?
The Memphis Parks Aquatics Department is hiring for the following positions:
Pool Attendant – Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Pay rate is $12 an hour.
Lifeguard– Applicant must be 15 years of age or older. Pay rate is $15 an hour.
Pool Manager- Applicant must be 18 years of age or older. Pay rate is $16 an hour.
