Aquatics

City pools are free and open to Memphis residents.

To access a City of Memphis pool, you will first need to click here to create your Memphis Parks membership profile. After you have completed your profile, you will then go to one of one of our community centers to have your membership card printed. You will need a membership card to utilize all Memphis Parks pools and facilities.

Indoor Pools

  • Summer hours:
      • Open swim – Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. 
      • Lessons only – Monday – Friday 4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Fall hours:
      • Open swim – Monday-/Friday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. 
      • Lessons only Monday – Friday 4:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.
        • Pool Party Room Rentals
          • Pool party room rentals are available at Hickory Hill pool on select days. Rooms have direct access to the pool and the room can host 15-30 people. The aquatic staff sets up the room, the renters bring in their own food, drink and therefore can enjoy the pool at the same time. Cost: $100 for two hours in addition to a $100 refundable cleaning deposit. Please call for availability

      • Open swim Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
    • Fall hours
      • Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
      • Swim Lessons
        • Adults only, Monday – Friday 9:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
        •  Youth only, 4:30 -5:15 p.m. Adults only, 5:30 p.m.– 6:15 p.m., Monday – Friday
      • Saturdays 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
      • (Closed from 1-2pm)
      • Pool is heated to 90.
  • Raymond Skinner Pool (adaptive programming only), 712 Tanglewood Street, (901) 636-1900. 
    • Summer hours
      • Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
    • Fall hours
      • Monday- Friday 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Outdoor Pools

Seasonal Closure Notice:
All outdoor pools are now closed for the season and will reopen next summer.

Swim Lessons

Swim lessons are available at Hickory Hill from 4:00pm-7:15pm, and Bickford from 4:00pm-5:30pm. Please call locations directly for availability.

  • Youth swim lessons are for ages 5-17.
    • $25 per ten-lesson program. 
  • Adult swim lessons are for ages 18+.
    • $48 per ten-lesson program.
  • Participants should complete registration in person.
  • Aquatic centers only accept cashier’s checks or money orders, payable to the City of Memphis.

 

Water Aerobics

Water aerobics is currently offered at Hickory Hill Pool, please contact 901-636-0781 for more information.

Interested in becoming a lifeguard?

The Memphis Parks Aquatics Department is hiring for the following positions:

 

Pool Attendant – Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Pay rate is $12 an hour.

 

Lifeguard– Applicant must be 15 years of age or older. Pay rate is $15 an hour.

 

Pool Manager- Applicant must be 18 years of age or older. Pay rate is $16 an hour.
